You’ve heard 90s songs, but never quite like this one. This hilarious nostalgic listing of awesome stuff from the nineties takes a unexpectedly dark turn in very funny fashion.

The music video from Pop Roulette starts off like any other of the plethora of nostalgic 90s songs out there on the Internet. With bright neon colored backgrounds, goofy early 90s fashion and a list of happy things from the 90s, it’s simply a good-hearted attempt at reliving a great decade. However, after singing about Boy Meets World, Rugrats, floppy disks and grunge music, things take an unexpected turn when one of the band members starts bringing up awful 90s events like Kosovo, the Rodney King riots and the Rwandan genocide. Before long, the 90s clad band members are engaged in a full on argument, while the viewer calmly reflects on their favorite 90s songs. Stats for Darkly Nostalgic 90s Songs Trending: Older & Chilly
