London-based distillery 58 and Co has embarked on a collaborative venture with Citizens of Soil to introduce an innovative vodka infused with olive oil. The genesis of this collaboration traces back to a moment of inspiration when Carmen O’Neal, the founder of 58 and Co, incorporated Citizens of Soil’s olive oil into a Dirty Martini. The resulting liquid was infused with the fresh and flavorful aromatics of the oil, contributing to a unique and herbaceous flavor combination.
Each bottle of 58 and Co's Olive Oil Vodka contains 700ml of liquid and a 10ml bottle of Citizen's of Soil's olive oil.
“We’ve thought about every step of the process so there’s absolutely no waste,” said Carmen O’Neal, co-founder of 58 and Co. “Our distillery is solar powered, the bottles are made from recycled glass and the labels from discarded grape skins. We’ve even taken the ‘rescued’ olive oil used in distillation, filtered it and bottled it up to use as a garnish for your olive oil Dirty Martini."
