Damm301 Recreates Winterfell from Game of Thrones with a 3D Printer

A few years ago, the idea of 3D-printed items seemed like fantasy, so it's deliciously ironic that 3D printing is now being used for fantasy purposes. This 3D-printed version of Winterfell Castle from the Game of Thrones opening credits is not only very impressive in its detail and craft, but it's available to anyone out there with a MakerBot 3D printer.

The download file for the 3D castle is freely available from damm301's thingiverse.com page. Damm301 says that the design came from several screen captures of the show's opening, but unfortunately lacks the neighboring Godswood. There's always time to add more fantasy to your 3D printing.

Something tells me that there would be a whole lot less fighting over dominions in the show if they could just 3D print new castles and towns as easily as people can today. Stats for 3D-Printed Fantasy Castles Trending: Older & Mild
