$250,000 Self Cleaning Pay Toilets - Philly Installs High Tech Poopers

A new high-tech automated porta-potty being installed in Center City, Philadelphia. The first public toilet in Philly, the toilet will cost 25 cents to use. And after each use, the inside of the bathroom is completely sanitized. The high tech toilets cost $250,000, and ths city of Philadelphia has already ordered a dozen!
Martin McDonough from Wall USA says that “the toilet is servo motor driven, microprocessor controlled. It’s got the latest in automated technology. It’s self-cleaning within 50 seconds.”
This is a good idea and all, but what if you really have to go? Waiting 50 seconds may seem like forever!
OR THE FIRST time in Philadelphia history, the city has launched a major effort to install dozens of high-tech, self-cleaning, $250,000 public pay toilets in its heaviest pedestrian and tourist areas.
The city would pay nothing for up to 35 fully computerized, handicapped-accessible toilets because the company that builds them would also install hundreds of new bus shelters, newsstands, trash receptacles and kiosks here - and own the advertising rights on all of them for 20 years.
