It's no secret that campaigning is a major aspect to any politician's career, but the method and medium used to get the message out is changing. Online advertising now makes up a major percentage of US Presidential hopefuls and the incumbent President's budget. Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ play a big role in spreading the Democrat and Republican's messages to their followers, fans and voters.

After increasing over 7 times since even the 2008 election, online ad campaigns are the way of the future, reaching more people than ever. Social media, ad placement and video campaigns may very well determine the success of candidates who must be tech-savvy in this 21st-century election.
