As a multi-functional unit, this tool can make for cost and storage efficiency, at the expense of the quality of having specialized individual tools.

Having said that, the same comparison can be made with the use of Swiss Army Knives and Leatherman tools vs. the use of a fully-equipped toolbox.

Whether this concept becomes a commercial reality remains to be seen.
