These ingenious and clever food sculptures come from different events and fairs around the world. La Niña, La Pinta and La Santa Maria—the three ships that transported Columbus and his men to this part of the world—were beautifully and skillfully done with waffles. There’s also a bust of the Pope in full regalia that was made out of dough. Side note: Wasn’t the making of dough popes on the updated list of sins which the Vatican rolled out recently? Anyway, continuing with the sculptures, there is also a big house made of oranges, a beautifully detailed Elton John in chocolate and a really green Fidel Castro—cigar and all—made with vegetables.
