From Hip Waterproof Sneakers to Vacuum Forming Footwear

Rubber boots have experienced a revival in recent years, with the extreme popularity of fashionable rain boot brands like Hunter Boots seeing high sales, but there are tons of other options when it comes to rain shoes.

In the fall and spring seasons -- when the ground gets wet and people scramble to stay dry -- a good pair of rain shoes can make all the difference between a great day and a miserable, damp one. These pairs of rain shoes make sure that fashionable people can protect their toes without looking like a fisherman.

Some of these options are adorable adaptations of the conventional rain boot. For example, there's a DIY project that lets makers paint their own rain boots or a pair of Hunter metallic rubber boots. Others, like a pair of canoe-inspired shoes, toss out the boot model all together in favor of a completely new variety of rain shoes.
