DIY Cardboard Garden Tools

The Rake and Take

Raking leaves can be really painful for your neck and back which is why designer Louis J Morton came up with a clever idea to stop our raking misery.

The Rake and Take is a cardboard construction that you can make yourself using any two used 40’ x 60’ sheets of cardboard. Not only will it save your back, it will save paper by stopping the use of yard bags.

Simply rake the leaves in through its wide mouth, and compress with a simple forward motion. Then when it's all full, fold it and dispose of it.

Do It Yourself cardboard innovations have four things in common: they are cheap to make, simple, functional, and portable.

From houses to workspaces, below are some more examples.
