When one typically thinks of a manhole cover they generally don't envision a design piece. The manhole cover is used to cover up society's dirty sewage that no one wants to look at. What better way to disguise this process than by decorating these lids and using them as inspiration for decorating your house.
Sewer lid designs come in the form of table tops, cufflinks and even circular pillows. In fact, as part of a movement in Japan to liven up their cities, they have been turning their sewer lids into incredible murals. This project has even inspired other locations to do the same.
These designs will certainly get one to change any predetermined views on the manhole cover. When they are dressed up and turned into decorations they really aren't so bad.
