Digital Urban Drainage

Pixel Pour 2.0 is Creeping from the Sewers of New York City

Pixel Pour 2.0 is what people are calling this recent urban installation in an NYC alleyway. Believed to be the work of artist Kelly Goeller, this splashing sculpture is the second such piece of its kind.

In 2008, Goeller installed the original Pixel Pour, seemingly spilling digital water from an existing city pipe. Snapped just a couple days ago, photos of Pixel Pour 2.0 have been circling around the Internet, inciting an overflow of questions into its mysterious creation.
