American Advertising in Afghanistan Invokes Pride

The American-supported advertising in Afghanistan is meant to invoke pride and courage among the peoples of that country. The aim of this ad campaign is to encourage the nation to be peaceful.

The print campaign involves images that have positive focus, while ignoring negative situations. The campaign effectively uses the past and future within the posters.

Featuring honorable characters from the country's history juxtaposed with future life paths for their children, this ad campaign will hopefully show results.

Implications - Credit for the development of the campaign can be attributed to Lt. Col. Allen McCormick, the chief of Information operations and psychological operations (PSYOP) for the United States' combined joint task force in Eastern Afghanistan.

I think it's safe to say he has a hit on his hands.
