Attached to a helium balloon, the armchair in the Toshiba Space Chair commercial rises 98,268 feet from the earth’s surface to embark on a journey to the edge of space and back. As for the product Toshiba was trying to promote, it’s the 2010 REGZA SV LCD TV series and, according to the commercial, “armchair viewing, redefined.”
