Glitzy Cultural Festivals

I just had to share this series of amazing images for the Brazilian carnival. They are astounding and manage to do something I thought was impossible--capture the spirit of Carnival in a still image.

Interestingly enough, as the source article points out, it is the Roman Catholics who know how to throw a good party. Those who live in places where this is a predominant religion are currently drowning under a sea of glitter and feathers.
