Shaun Kardinal, a Seattle-based creative, made a collection of digitally altered shots of birds flying in particular formations. The series, aptly titled 'Flying Formation,' features different clans of birds flying in illusive groupings in the air.
Kardinal created the images by altering pictures taken from Google searches and social media accounts. He wanted to create the unique conceptual art to attract a larger fan base to his personal Instagram account. He wanted to "re-think his engagement in his work" and "explore other venues of presenting it."
Clearly by taking to social media, he allowed his work to be noticed and he cited a new-found connection with a world-wide community. The work is truly nothing less than spectacular and is playfully fanciful.
