This 8-bit art piece is made of beads, but that's not what makes it interesting. The big draw to the piece is that it uses classic Nintendo games as a three dimensional ode to an older era of video gaming. A few of the classic Nintendo staples make appearances, from Mario to Link.
If Nintendo does one thing, it's stick to the formula. It seems like Mario will never disappear from the company's line-up of games; because of this he's firmly entrenched in the minds of all gamers -- Nintendo fan or not.
Daniel Alba is the artist and photographer of the series and he made the piece out of Perler beads. The colored beads tell an incredible story that would be difficult to tell otherwise.
