Yamazaki Kentaro has come up with a minimalist housing design that serves various functions. The main point of this piece of architecture is to show how one doesn't need an excessive amount of space to carry out day-to-day functions.
"The dwelling is envisioned as a container that responds to the needs of its occupants, allowing them to impose on the design their own ways of living. Located in masuo, the residence features flexible and adaptable accommodation without predefined programs," as stated on DesignBoom. Because of this approach, the abode doesn't have any traditional elements of a modern home. One central space has been created, along with open-front rooms scaling up the side of the house, looking down on this middle area. This is a bold take on traditional design elements.
