Forge by Luke Evans Boasts Scenes Made Using Common Materials
Meghan Young — April 8, 2014 — Fashion
Forge by Luke Evans, a graphic design and photography student based in London, England, is a deceptive photo series. It depicts epic, otherworldly landscapes that could easily be found on the set of the latest sci-fi film. Yet more realistically, they can also be found on the surface of someone's kitchen counter. That is because it is made up of stunning dioramas made out of common materials found around the house.
Using nothing more than self-raising flour, paint, fragments of brick, paper and heated glycerine (a simple and cheap throat medication), Forge by Luke Evans deceptively depicts snowy mounds, crashing waves and frothy bodies of water. He employed the tilt shift technique in an innovative way to achieve the photos.
