Artist, Cheyenne Randall, is turning clean-cut celebrity portraits into bad-ass masterpieces on her Tumblr based gallery, Shopped Tattoos.
Celebrities can be seen donning full sleeves, neck and knuckle tattoos—artificially, of course.
Randall uses photoshop to add the ink on political, sport, film, and music icons of the past and present. Actors like Brad Pitt, Audrey Hepburn and Michelle Pfeiffer look as though they could have re-occuring roles on Sons of Anarchy. While, world leaders like the Kennedys, Barrack Obama and the British Royal Family could be mistaken for hipsters.
Though tattoos have become mainstream, Randall still manages to portray a shock factor within every photo.
Implications - Cheyenne Randall has an ever growing blog due to her intriguingly morphed photos. Imagine your grandmother with a half sleeve. It is rare to see a generally known clean-cut person make such a bold statement.
Even with tattoos becoming mainstream in today’s society, these photos raise the question; does having tattoos still alter others’ opinions of you?
