French designer Patrick Norguet was enlisted by French hotel chain Okko in designing the interiors for the Nantes Okko hotel chain. The design was created in response to the small bedrooms and the results are a series of compressed rooms complete with en suite bathrooms and the addition of louvred walls that curve softly, shaping the space.
Each compact room is 18 square meters with a desk, a bed, an ensuite bathroom, a television and a small storage area for clothes. Each room is simplistically designed with form and function in mind, "We began by removing useless things, to focus us on the wellbeing of the user and integrate more information and services using new technologies," says Norguet.
