Local Austrian studio Bernardo Bader Architects have recently created a design for Kindergarten Susi Weigel located in western Austria in a small mountain town called Bludenz. The building obtained its name from the recently deceased children’s book illustrator and writer, Weigel.
The exterior structure is made up on rectilinear lines fitted with glass panels around the building. The two story building features cleanly polished acacia wood and exposed concrete that can be found around the interiors. The furniture uses big round cushions in yellow and blue to contrast the concrete and timber.
The lobby of the kindergarten are for the children to place their bags and coats before they start classes. Another entrance from the ground floor leads to an outdoor playground.
