Longer, lower and leaner the new Cadillac crest is taking part in Cadillac's rebranding by evolving from its iconic origins to a new emblem to represent General Motor's new production line debuting at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
“The crest matches our 'longer, lower, leaner' mantra that we have on the current portfolio of vehicles," says Andrew Smith, executive director of Global Cadillac design. “It mirrors the evolution we're going through.”
Using the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe as a platform for the new logo inauguration, the emblem will start embellishing Cadillac vehicles starting the second half of this year.
Cadillac enthusiasts shouldn't take the news too hard as this very distinct symbol of the 110-year-old brand has actually been change 38 times during Cadillac's history.
