The CES 2014 in Las Vegas is showcasing a lot of exciting wearable tech advancements, the latest coming in the bite-sized form of the Intel Edison. A computer the size of an SD card, the Intel Edison made quite a lot of noise at the show. Housing Intel’s previously announced Quark processor, which was designed for ultra-small and power-sensitive devices, it packs quite a bit of power in spite of its small size.
Available this summer, the Intel Edison also "runs Linux and comes with an array of connectivity and I/O capabilities, including built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE," according to Psfk. A Mimo onesie was used to demonstrate the exciting possibilities and capabilities of the computer.
