Fruit bowls have one function, which is to hold fruits in it, but design student Jagjit Chodha bowl was designed with another practical concept.
The fruit bowl designed by Chodha has the capability to detect when fruits or vegetables go bad. The bowl is outfitted with a sensor that can detect the compounds of a produce that's about to go bad. This bowl is great for people who forget about the fruits that they've bought -- this is especially great for bananas since those tend to expire pretty quickly. It would be great, if all fruit bowls had this same functionality. People won't have to worry about writing down the dates of expiration.
The fruit bowl is part of an exhibition of the Made In Brunel Show at London’s Brunel University.
