The Mategot Coatrack can be likened to a few things: a solar system school project, metal jack toys and more. What appears to be a common thread throughout these comparisons is a childlike quality many households could benefit from. But for those looking for a bit more sophistication and maturity, the Mategot Coatrack seems to channel the Eames dot pattern as well.
Designed by Mathieu Matégot for Gubi, the Mategot Coatrack boasts three arms hat jut out from a brass body. Purported to be mounted on the wall, each arm ends with a circular hook that provides a better hold for jackets, bags, umbrellas and more.
Although the matte black of the Mategot Coatrack's arms can be continued to the hooks, they are also available in bright colors.
