The Death of Manners infographic puts into perspective the increase of ignorant and ill-mannered behavior in society. Rudeness and disrespect have come to replace the more well-mannered and commendable conduct of past decades.
This increase in behavior does not just exist in one setting or occurrence. Rudeness has found its place on the road, in language, directed towards service workers and even in travel. Surprisingly, it is shown that rudeness actually increases the amount of income one can earn. Nice guys appear to finish last in the workplace scenario as they earn $10,000 less than their rude peers. In comparison, women of a meaner nature earn $2,000 more than their more accommodating counterparts.
As attention spans are waning and nerves are beginning to fray, this infographic explains society’s increasing shift to intolerant behavior.
