After the much-talked about coming out of R&B singer Frank Ocean, he performed last night on TV for the first time on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Ocean performed a song off his recently released album Channel Orange called “Bad Religion” and he killed it!
Frank Ocean recently came out as being a gay on his tumblr last week and it has been talked about abundantly, but the timing could not have been better (which leads me to believe that it was planned that way) and Ocean is capitalizing on it. His album hit iTunes last night and is set to be released in stores on July 17th.
Needless to say, Frank Ocean’s performance speaks for itself. The song “Bad Religion” tells the tale of unreciprocated love with another man and matched with the smooth string section and music by The Roots; this can easily be seen as the beginning of a very successful career for Frank Ocean and his falsetto voice.
