Anthill Prophets

Martin Horat Predicts the Weather for Leo Burnett Zurich's Switzerland Tourism Ad

In a new campaign for Switzerland Tourism by Leo Burnett Zurich, a real Swiss weather prophet, Martin Horat, predicts the weather for the next six months by observing nature -- and more specifically, ants. The weather man predicts that this upcoming winter will be treated to a lot of snow and sunshine, but don’t just take his word for it. According to Martin Horat, ants from other countries such as Holland, Italy and France have come to Switzerland, a telltale sign that the winter will be a good one.

Directed by Xavier Koller and produced by HC Vogel, the ad dubbed 'Weather Prophet on an Anthill' uses a documentary-style approach and takes a different route from the usual winter commercials that feature happy skiers and beautiful snowy scenery.

TV production was thanks to Suzana Kovacevic while the creatives on this project were Peter Brönnimann and Martin Spillmann.
