The Al Qaeda cartoon is the terrorist organization’s attempt to appeal to a younger demographic; the cartoon may soon be used as a recruitment tool to get younger children into joining the ranks of the organization.
The Quilliam Foundation, which has the eradication of global terrorism as it’s mandate, claims the cartoon was developed by a branch of Al Qaeda that operated exclusively out of Yemen. It is believed that the Al Qaeda cartoon marks a significant shift in how the terrorist organization attracts new recruits.
