Tory Fair has managed to yet again create beautifully intricate sculptures and display a desired message.
The artist, who says, "My hope is to integrate the body, the sensual imagination, and nature into a discussion of the relative place of ourselves in culture and in the environment at large," has managed to integrate the surreal life with the human form.
She has created pieces that obscure the face with a bounteous amount of botanics. The flowers engulf the statues with their petals and manage to cover the entire body of each statue. The color palette is basic, but manages to draw attention to the intricate details that have been sculpted. All pieces are looking into the unknown such as the floor and wall and their covered faces can signify a purity and expansion of their life views.
