Microsoft introduced the Proteus Controller which is designed for Xbox -- it is a fully customizable gamepad that is meant for inclusive play. For the players that have physical disabilities, the traditional controller can be a barrier. The Proteus Controller is made with the help of peripherals company ByoWave for the Designed for Xbox program.
The controller boasts fully custom features and is made with various small and magnetic cubes that hold all the functions including the buttons, S-pads, and analog sticks. The elements snap together to allow players to create their own gaming solutions and meet their unique standards. Some of the setups include one-handed fixtures or more complex structures. There are over 100 million configurations that are possible with the various parts and LED options.
