Food and wine have come together in a unique way with the introduction of the Finger Lakes Wine Flour, which is both uniquely formulated and packed with nutritional value.
The makers of this unique flour visit local wineries and collect discarded grape skins and seeds, which are often thrown away during the wine's distillation process. The discarded ingredients are then "sorted, separated, sun-dried, and milled at a flour mill in Hector, New York."
Because the flour is made from grapes it's packed with nutritional value, including vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. In addition, wine flour is an excellent source of both protein and fiber as each teaspoon contains two grams of protein and three grams of fiber.
The diverse range of wine flour include the same offerings as wine, including Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir iterations.
