BISSELL Boasts the Crosswave Edge Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner
BISSELL has introduced the CrossWave Edge Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner, a cordless two-in-one device that simultaneously vacuums and mops hard floors as well as area rugs without requiring a separate broom, dustpan, mop, or bucket.
This model distinguishes itself from earlier versions through ZeroGap Technology, which eliminates the space between the brush roll and the edge of the machine. This, in turn, allows the device to clean flush against walls, baseboards, and trim where debris typically accumulates. The CrossWave Edge Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner also features Tangle-Free Technology to reduce hair wrap around the brush roll, a Self-Cleaning mode that rinses the interior after use, and a FreshStart Antimicrobial Filter that helps prevent bacterial odors from developing inside the appliance.

Trend Themes
-
Edge-cleaning Robotics — Elimination of the gap between brush and edge enables robots and handhelds that achieve wall-to-wall cleaning coverage previously requiring manual touch-ups.
-
Integrated Wet-dry Cleaning — Combining vacuuming and mopping in a single cordless unit challenges the need for multiple dedicated tools and creates opportunities for multifunction floorcare platforms.
-
Self-maintaining Appliances — Built-in self-cleaning cycles and tangle-reduction systems point toward appliances that minimize user maintenance and extend effective runtime without service.
Industry Implications
-
Home Cleaning Appliances — Product lines that merge wet and dry capabilities with edge-focused designs can redefine consumer expectations for residential floorcare performance.
-
Robotics and Embedded Sensors — Advances in compact sensing and brush-actuation systems support precision-edge navigation and real-time clog or tangle detection for smarter cleaning robots.
-
Hygiene and Antimicrobial Materials — Integrating antimicrobial filters and odor-control materials into device internals opens pathways for longer-lasting sanitary performance in small appliances.
