Community-Designed Bandages

CVS Turns Public Artwork into Limited-Edition Bandages

Community-designed bandages are turning an everyday healthcare product into a platform for creativity and public participation. CVS Health’s nationwide Wear Your HeART Bandage Art Contest invites artists, students, families and community groups to create designs representing what protecting health means to them. Four winning designs will appear on limited-edition CVS brand adhesive bandages used for immunizations at CVS Pharmacy locations nationwide beginning in fall 2027. Each winner will also receive $5,000 and recognition through promotional materials.

The campaign gives CVS a way to make routine pharmacy interactions more engaging while encouraging consumers to participate directly in its health messaging. Using winning artwork during immunizations can extend the contest beyond a temporary promotion into a physical customer experience. The approach also creates user-generated content and strengthens CVS’s community-focused positioning while bringing additional visibility to its private-label healthcare products.
