Elevated Gin Branding

Waterloo Gin Relaunches Nationwide Under New Ownership

Texas-born brand Waterloo Gin has been strategically repositioned as a premium American craft gin with broader market aspirations. Following its acquisition by John Paul DeJoria — the business visionary behind Patrón Tequila — the brand has undergone a comprehensive transformation featuring elevated packaging, expanded distribution networks, and refined brand storytelling.

Waterloo Gin's newly redesigned bottle now showcases a taller silhouette with a wood cork closure and botanical-illustrated labels that visually communicate the gin's nine local ingredients, which include grapefruit, lavender, and pecan. The aesthetic maintains the original 94-proof New American-style distillation process using limestone-filtered spring water.

Market-wise, Waterloo Gin's relaunch capitalizes on multiple favorable trends — the premiumization of gin, regional craft spirit appeal, and owner pedigree credibility through DeJoria's involvement.
