Popular beauty subscription service Birchbox will be including VR headsets in every Birchbox Man sample pack in an effort to appeal to a tech-savvy demographic. The millennial man is not only conscious of how he looks -- in addition to the Birchbox Man service, masculine skincare lines and cosmetics have escalated in popularity in recent months -- but is also likely to be glued to his smartphone or tablet.
Appealing to the adventurous yet aesthetically conscious male, Birchbox Man offers monthly skincare samples, masculine beauty tools and tech products like wearables and most recently, its VR headsets. The brand's offering of Google Cardboard VR headsets in monthly subscriptions was conceived with the help of River Studios, a virtual reality company.
In addition to headsets, subscribers will also received short VR clips that will let them experience a drive in a race car or a surfing adventure halfway across the world.
