New Balance's 992 Sneaker Gets a Varsity Colorway

DTLR works in collaboration with New Balance to decorate the 992 sneaker in a Varsity colorway for the season. The patriotic color palette sees blue suede at the heel, the upper section of the eyestays, and the toe box. This gives the shoe a patchwork-inspired update for an elevated look.

This continues with red suede materials that accent the rear side of the midfoot section. Together, it looks like an American flag that rests by the tongue area. The finishing touch on the sneaker can be seen at the top of the tongue, where there is a golden yellow embroidery that is the form of the branding detail, boasting a similar aesthetic as the team names on the back of letterman jackets.
