Vacuum Forming Footwear

The Last 21986 Shoes Feature a Simple and Barely There Design

Designer and innovator Lou Moria hopes to revolutionize the way consumers see and think about footwear with these vacuum forming shoe designs. Known as the Last 21986, these shoes are made from simple materials that offer consumers a barely there wear.

According to Moria there are dozens of shoe brands that create cheap and affordable footwear that never lasts long but often ends up thrown out. To reduce waste and increase functionality, Moria opted for creating her shoes with an innovative vacuum forming system that lays a sheet of malleable plastic onto a mold and forms a skin tight shoe. The shoes have a minimalist design with a singular color hue and ankle boot shape. These shoes would be great to wear out in the rain.
