A 17-year-old Australian named Pearce Delphin confessed to being the Twitter hacker that caused chaos this month. The five-hour mess led to the depletion of White House Press Secretary’s Twitter feed and also led various Twitter users to Japanese porn sites.
The Twitter hacker account (@zzap) revealed a security flaw in the system and was able to easily hack into the system to cause a worldwide mess. The flaw was created with JavaScript coding that featured a mouseover image and led to such disarray. Hopefully others will not follow suit in this social media hacking as this isn't the first time the Twitter site has been abused.
