Half-Complete Concept Footwear

The Topless Shoes Facilitates the Life of Disable People

For many people, especially women, latest fashion trends are a priority when buying shoes; however, for many disabled people footwear like the Topless Shoes are their best alternative. The design concept consists of a shoe without the upper part for easy wear.

Many body parts come into play when it's time to wear shoes, and for people struggling with health issues, this task can become a nightmare. Conceptualized by designers Zhao Xiaoliang, Han Like, Liu Peng, Meng Qingbao, Ren Mingjun, Yang Xiao, Chen Xuan and Lin Lin, these kicks are made of an elastic layer called muscle, so that users only need to step on the cushion-like hole to put them on. The muscle holds the foot while providing perfect grip and comfort.

Practical and comfy, the Topless Shoes are a 2011 red dot concept design winner.
