Toned Sneaker Collaborations

J Balvin’s Air Jordan 4 “Lemonade” Celebrates Colombia

Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 4 “Lemonade,” created with J Balvin, centers Colombian culture through a concentrated yellow palette and tactile finishes. Its croc-textured upper and tonal layers reference Medellín sunsets and the colorful landscape of Caño Cristales. The sneaker, SKU IW2872-700, is scheduled to release Sept. 25 for $225.

Design details include bilingual dubraes reading “JUST DO IT.” and “SOLO HAZLO.” and intentionally mismatched heel tabs: one debossed with Nike Air and the other stamped with Balvin’s upside-down smiley face. A multicolor sample circulated, but the commercial release commits to a singular lemon-toned identity that relies on texture and hardware for depth.

The sneaker pairs bold visual coherence with details that reward close inspection. Its culturally specific storytelling reflects a broader shift away from name-only celebrity collaborations, helping Jordan Brand refresh an archival silhouette while giving Balvin a distinct platform for Colombian identity.
