Titan Quest II is a top-down action role-playing game developed by Grimlore Games and published by THQ Nordic. Set in a handcrafted open world inspired by ancient Greek mythology, it continues the dual-class mastery system of the 2006 original, allowing players to combine two distinct skill trees to tailor character builds. The title launched into early access in August 2025 on Steam and the Epic Games Store, offering a time-limited launch discount and laying the groundwork for a full 1.0 release by the end of 2026.
Early access builds have incorporated feedback from a closed playtest in which over 90 percent of participants rated the experience positively. Updates have focused on combat fluidity, skill targeting, and game balance, alongside graphical enhancements to environments and creature models. The modular mastery system supports on-the-fly adjustments, and the game eschews seasonal content in favor of a persistent world rich with hidden secrets, world events, and an expansive loot and equipment system designed to reward exploration and experimentation.
