'The Longest Rest' is a Horror Take on the Classic Tavern Tale

'The Longest Rest' is a board game from a new crowdfunding campaign on IndieGogo that met its funding goal in just two hours after launching. Currently, with 24 days remaining in the campaign, the board game has raised 408% of its original goal, with funds currently totaling over $50,000 CAD.

The board game itself takes place in a tavern that appears small on the outside, but is much larger once the travelers venture within. Each room in the tavern raises new challenges, horrors, and secrets for the players to overcome, or surrender to. Each player takes on one of the characters roles in the game, which includes 'The Sellsword,' 'The Sparrow,' 'The Hutner,' 'The Consort,' 'The Penitent,' and 'The Warder.' Each character has a unique backstory that prepared them for this situation in different ways.

The Longest Rest can be preordered on the official IndieGogo page for $15 USD, or roughly $21 CAD.
