Community-Focused Footwear Retail Experiences

NIKE Supports the Crenshaw Rec by Foot Locker

Foot Locker, in partnership with NIKE, Inc., has unveiled The Crenshaw Rec by Foot Locker — a new retail destination on Crenshaw Boulevard in South Los Angeles that combines a sneaker and apparel store with a community hub featuring an equipment room, open gym, creative workspaces, a resource center, and year-round programming. This comprehensive retail experience was co-developed in partnership with local leaders, including Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon Brand, designer Gavin Mathieu, and Crenshaw High School.

The Crenshaw Rec by Foot Locker carries hyper-local collections available only at this location, such as a Crenshaw High School x Nike Team Shop line and a capsule from Gavin Mathieu. The hiring initiative, known as the Crenshaw Striper Program, employs neighborhood residents to curate and shape the in-store experience.

The Crenshaw Rec by Foot Locker's grand opening event featured a community swap meet and a three-on-three basketball tournament.
