The Swash Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection is Properly Posh

The SWASH Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection is designed perfectly for the prim and proper fashionista with a romantic side. The the dynamic designer duo Sarah Swash and Toshio Yamanaka are behind the London based fashion label SWASH. Together they create fantastical fashion using hand-drawn and painted artworks that are then digitally transposed onto silk scarves.

The nine scarf designs use a vibrantly-colored palette and are complimented by ready-to-wear clothing and over-the-top accessories. The collection is styled to be elegantly posh.

This collection borrows the name Phantastes from Scottish author George MacDonald 19th century Romantic fantasy novel. SWASH appropriately uses this title to define the collection, using traditional silhouettes mixed with argyle and floral patterns. While, the exaggerated pom-pom hats to the head-to-toe matched layering blends the theme of history into contemporary fashion.
