The KTM 1290 Super Duke GT is an incredibly smartly engineered and thoughtfully designed motorbike. This particular bike boasts the same peak performance figures as its predecessor, specifically 173 horsepower in addition to 106 pounds-feet of torque.
However, the 75-degree V-twin engine's power is now being utilized in a more efficient manner than ever before. Its peak 173 horsepower can now be attained at 9,500 revolutions per minute. This essentially means the peak torque is moved lower, enabling fuel to be consumed at a lower rate at cruising speed.
The TM 1290 Super Duke GT proves that it is indeed capable to engineer a motorbike with improved fuel efficiency figures without compromising on its power, torque or other performance specs, something which will come as a huge relief to motorbike buyers.
