Spotify family accounts will now have parental control functions, where the account owner can turn explicit content on or off. This means that users who have the filter turned on will not be able to access explicit music or change the settings. Previously, the ability to filter explicit music was integrated into each account, but now primary users on a family account can toggle the filter on or off for other family members.
The new feature for Spotify family accounts will give parents more control as to what content their child can listen to. This offers primary account holders more control over a family-based account. The company indicates that the feature will initially be available in Ireland, it will then be subsequently rolled out to other countries.
