Mumbai designer Sayalee Kaluskar has managed to combine fashion with function with her newest innovation: solar-powered Ray Bans called 'Shama Shades' that can charge your iPhone.

The inspiration behind Kaluskar's product innovation is her knowledge of the increasing dependence society has with their mobile phones. The result is a product combined with sunglasses, a product that is known to serve one sole purpose, to protect our eyes from the sun. Why not make fully functional sunglasses that is able to charge your phone at the same time?

Placing tiny solar panels on its side frames, the panels soak up the sun during the day and are detachable to charge your smartphone when you're not using your sunglasses.
