The 'Sight' Video by Eran May-raz and Daniel Lazo is a fantastically well done video concept that toys with futuristic ideals of a technologically aided existence.
The video was conceptualized as a graduation project for Bezaleal Academy of Arts. It explores a future with a video game-like reality in which all facets of reality are interconnected and digitalized. From morning exercise to cooking, there exist applications to aid in these processes of every day activities. These applications make it so that everyone becomes a gamer, playing the game of life.
The project becomes even more fascinating when this idea is applied to dating. Social networking, virtual wallets and self-help applications are all utilized in the simple process of meeting someone for dinner. Although it all seems highly useful, the video ends with a twist in which mind control from the programmer of 'Sight' is entirely possible.
This concept is impressive, and it leads to the question of whether the digitalization of reality is feasible and desirable.
