Located in Bagkok, Thailand, the SHUGAA dessert bar brings a playful and whimsical design aesthetic to life. Specializing in artisan confections, the spot is conceived by architectural firm Party/space/design and is inspired by sugar crystals that are both delicious and visually striking.
Borrowing from crystallized shapes, Party/space/design opts for geometric facade panels and adorns its interior with multi-dimensional ceiling accents. These metal cubes are dispersed throughout and are juxtaposed against a spiral staircase that acts as its focal point.
SHUGGA dessert bar is also adorned in a palette of pastel hues and boasts charming furnishings and oversized bear sculptures -- reminiscent of folded paper origami. In addition to satisfying one's sweet tooth, this space will satisfy one's curiosity and eye for design.
